VC welcomes over 10,000 new students

he University of Nairobi has welcomed over 10,000 new students for the Academic Year 2020/21.The new students have been admitted to the six UoN Colleges and the ODeL Campus. September 2020 orientation for New Students to be Held Online

The University of Nairobi will for the first time in history conduct orientation for first year students exclusively online due to the COVID-19 outbreak.The orientation to be held from 31st August -4th September 2020 will see new students acquainted with what life is like in campus. 

Authority to Incur Expenditure (AIE) Training

During the one-day online training session, the Mombasa Campus Staff were equipped with knowledge and skills on Authority to Incur Expenditure (AIE)  Management system.

Presiding over the training, the Senior ICT Officer Mr.Simon Mwangi  noted that the ICT is committed to effective and automatic AIE procedures and practices.

University of Nairobi Ranked 7TH MOST POPULAR UNIVERSITY IN AFRICA

UoNMSA Marks International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

The University of Nairobi, Mombasa Campus marked the 26/06/2020 International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking through a webinar. To address and counter the drug problem and reaffirming its resolve, The Executive Director Reachout, Mr.Taib presented effective and holistic approaches needed to resolve the issue. Drug abuse is a complex problem at the intersection of public health, safety and social issues. Very interesting to hear that drug abuse cuts across ages, social status etc.

Prof. Stephen Kiama Installed as the 8th Vice Chancellor

Prof. Stephen Kiama Gitahi has officially been installed as the 8th Vice Chancellor of the great University of Nairobi at a colorful function held at the Taifa Hall in main campus and steamed online to a global audience, Prof. Kiama took oath office with a clear vision of what lay ahead in terms of spearheading the university to global academic and research excellence. The new VC pointed out that there is need to refresh management, administrative, oversight and governance structures.
