When I grow up, I want to be…’ this is the cliché phrase that recursively finds its way into every High School Students conversation at one point or another in life. On 28th February 2017 a group of students from Memon High School and Kwale Girls High School paid a visit to University of Nairobi, Mombasa Campus for career and mentorship forum. They were given a brief talk about Mombasa Campus by Campus Director Dr. Sarah Kinyanjui. The students were given a full tour to the various campus facilities (Library, ICT, UNES Bookstore, SOL Mourt Court ) available with career/mentorship talk presentations by the campus coordinators. This was an important role of the Mombasa campus in triggering interest of various courses while they are still in high school. Students need exposure to institutions of higher learning and the various courses available later on in life, as well as a glimpse of the requirements to joining those courses.
